Phallus Funghi (Phallus Impudicus)

Common 'stinkhorn' mushroom is studied

Not to worry! These are not X-rated.

While running through the local woods paths, these mushrooms caught my eye. It was worth the run back home to fetch my camera and film to photograph these new-to-me funghi. Some of the photos are in-situ as i found them in the woods, and some are brought back (carefully) to the studio for still-life photographing. Only later did I discover the nickname 'stinkhorn' - their MO (mushroom odor) did not catch my attention at all while taking their headshots.

Please email if you are interested in owning one, these are not yet processed for printing, but were striking enough to include here as a portfolio.
